FAQ
What is Makeshift Swahili?
A record label and distro based in Glasgow, named after this:
Where is my order?
We endeavour to ship all orders within 2 days, but please keep in mind we're not Amazon. It might take a little while for your order to arrive with you. Be patient, especially if you live outside of the UK.
If your items haven't arrived within a fortnight of you receiving a dispatch/shipping notification then contact us at [email protected] Please include your order number and shipping address in the email.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes! Send us an email with your address and what you want to order and we'll get back to you with a quote for P&P.
Why isn't international shipping available at checkout by default?
Unfortunately, BigCartel requires you to input shipping options manually for every country and every item. This takes a lot of time and with shipping costs seemingly changing weekly, it's difficult to keep them accurate. To ensure we're not over or under-charging, it's easier for you to get in touch via email so we can give you a quote specifically for the items you want. It takes a bit longer this way, but it's the simplest solution! We're trying to figure out a better way to process international orders, so bear with us.
Do you accept demo submissions?
Ordinarily no, we've always got lots of releases planned and probably won't have time, but feel free to try! We aim to reply to all submissions, but again, keep in mind the type of label we are. It's a bit disrespectful to send us your (for example) hyperpop EP for consideration, as you've clearly not researched what type of music Makeshift Swahili releases.
